D.I.D.

Since I am in quarantine with the rest of the world, I thought I might go down some rabbit holes of some things people are going through. I learned about different cultures, how most of the world is staying inside while few countries are going about their daily lives, the usual things. Then, I stumbled across a YouTuber who conducts interviews with different people who live in usually misconstrued worlds. His name is Anthony Padilla and I recently watched a video of his on D.I.D., otherwise known as Dissosociative Identity Disorder.

Apparently the disorder comes from heavy childhood trauma to where the brain protects itself by splitting itself up into different people that would be able to handle the situation that the child is in. I got curious and explored more into it because I thought it was fascinating that multiple people can live inside of one body. Although it does come from trauma, which is very unfortunate, I think the people who do have it should be proud of themselves for coming this far.

One of the people interviewed on Padilla’s show, was a system named Dissociadid. I went to their YouTube channel and learned more about D.I.D. there. They were very interesting and wonderful all around. I highly encourage checking them out because the disorder is very interesting and there is a lot of misunderstanding about the whole “multiple personality” disorder. I think we just need to understand each other better and need to keep an open mind.
